WHO Am I Without Sports?
Quitting competitive sports and finding who you are without them is be an extremely difficult process. I know, because I went through it myself.
When I quit soccer and track after high school, I struggled for years. The lack of structure, community, and accountability from sports left me feeling completely lost and out of control.
This feeling of being out of control caused my relationship with fitness and nutrition hit rock bottom when I developed an eating disorder. Sound familiar?

When you grow up as an athlete, soooo much of who you are is strongly linked to the fact that you are an athlete.
But when the structure, community, and accountability from your teams and coaches are gone, it can be difficult figuring out who’ is actually staring back at you when you look into the mirror.

Luckily, I recovered from this eating disorder and in the process found a new balance between fitness and nutrition that works for my body and my post-sports life.
